\nAs a condition of loans purchased by a credit union, the customer must become a member of the credit union. This is a common practice among credit unions that buy loans from lenders like Ironhorse Funding.<\/li>\n
\nYou should inform customers that their loan will be purchased by a credit union and, as part of the process, they must become a member. The membership form will be included in their loan documents, and they must complete and sign it for their loan to be funded.<\/li>\n
\nNo. While credit union membership requires a minimum deposit to open an account, the credit union will provide that deposit on the customer’s behalf. There are no additional recurring fees specific to this account, such as monthly or annual membership charges.<\/li>\n
\nNo. Membership is automatic upon signing the required form. As long as the customer is approved for the loan, they are eligible for credit union membership.<\/li>\n
\nNo, the customer is not required to maintain an active balance beyond the initial deposit. However, they cannot close the account while the loan is active.<\/li>\n

Once the loan is funded, if the customer has questions about their\u00a0loan<\/u>, they should be directed to Ironhorse Funding’s customer solutions team at 978-993-7077.
